Fallout: New Vegas Hints
(Optional) Place Loyal's sonic generator on the ant mound.
1 of 5: If you want to use the sonic emitter to kill all the ants, follow the quest arrow to the generator building's south door.
2 of 5: Go into Sneak mode and enter the building, then shoot down the ant that you see in the room ahead of you. (Remember that using energy weapons will cause the ants to explode right after they die.)
3 of 5: Kill the ant that runs in through the doorway on the left, then go through that doorway and a couple more.
4 of 5: You'll find yourself on the upper walkway of a very large room. Go to the other side of the walkway and down the stairs to reach the main floor.
5 of 5: Go east to the adjacent large room, then turn right and go over some rubble to find the ant mound. Activate it to place the sonic emitter.
