Challenge Perks

  • Completing some of the game's achievement-like challenges will get you special perks.

    * Abominable (kill 50/100/150 abominations): This perk gives you a 3/6/10% damage increase vs. abominations.
    * Animal Control (kill 50/100/150 animals): This perk gives you a 3/6/10% damage increase vs. animals.
    * Beautiful Beatdown (kill 42 entities with unarmed weapons, then do 10,000 damage with unarmed weapons): This perk reduces the action point cost of unarmed attacks in V.A.T.S. by 10%.
    * Bug Stomper (kill 50/100/150 insects): This perk gives you a 3/6/10% damage increase vs. insects.
    * Camel of the Mojave (drink 100 water items): This perk gives a 15% bonus to the healing and hydration effects of water.
    * Day Tripper (take 25 addictive chems): This perk increases chem duration by 33%.
    * Dine and Dash (eat 25 corpses after getting the Cannibal level-up perk): This perk lets you take corpse parts for later eating if you're in Sneak mode.
    * Fast Times (use 20 Turbo chems): This perk increases Turbo chem duration by 50%.
    * Free Radical (use 20 radaways): This perk increases the effects of radaway by 20%.
    * Friendly Help (have 15 Mysterious Stranger or Miss Fortune visits after getting the necessary level-up perk): This perk increases the chance of the Mysterious Stranger and Miss Fortune appearing in V.A.T.S. mode to 20%.
    * Lord Death (kill 200/700/1000 enemies of any kind): This perk increases all weapon damage by 1/2/4% vs. any enemy.
    * Machine Head (kill 50/100/150 robots): This perk gives you a 3/6/10% damage increase vs. robots.
    * Melee Hacker (kill 125 entities with melee weapons, then do 10,000/20,000 damage with one-handed melee weapons or 10,000/20,000 damage with two-handed melee weapons): This perk increases melee attack speed by 5/10%.
    * Mutant Massacrer (kill 50/100/150 super mutants or nightkin): This perk gives you a 3/6/10% damage increase vs. super mutants and nightkin.
    * Set Lasers for Fun (kill 64 entities with energy weapons, then do 16,000/32,000 damage with energy pistols or 25,000/50,000 damage with energy rifles): This perk gives you +2/+4% critical chance with energy weapons.
    * Tough Guy (have 50 limbs crippled): This perk reduces all limb damage by 20%.
