Fallout: New Vegas Hints

Come to a peaceful arrangement with the mercenaries.

  • 1 of 5: If you'd rather not fight the mercs, pass a Speech 65 check with Norton to get them to leave peacefully.
  • 2 of 5: Or if your NCR rep is "idolized," you can tell him you're an NCR hero to get rid of him.
  • 3 of 5: If you can't do either of those things, ask if caps could make them go away to learn that they'll leave for 2500 caps.
  • 4 of 5: Even if you have that many caps to spare, you should do the "(Optional) Ask Marcus for money to pay off the mercenaries" objective.
  • 5 of 5: TIP: While doing that objective, lie to Marcus to get 3000 caps, then pass the Speech or NCR rep check with Norton, or do the "(Optional) Wipe the mercenaries out" objective, to avoid having to pay the mercenaries.
