Fallout: New Vegas Hints
Go to the Bitter Springs refugee camp and repel the Legion raid.
1 of 5: Fast-travel to Bitter Springs and head to its southern entrance. The first wave of Legion soldiers will be approaching from the Bitter Springs Recreation Area.
2 of 5: If you set mines between the recreation area and the camp, they'll do some of the work for you. It's up to you and Boone to do the rest.
3 of 5: Use the local area map and quest arrows to track down the Legion attackers. After you finish off the first bunch, Boone will say that more are coming.
4 of 5: Fast-travel back to Bitter Springs and run over to its narrow west entrance, since that's where the Legion will be coming in this time. Hopefully, you mined it, too.
5 of 5: After the last of the Legion attackers is killed, Boone will talk to you. You'll get some NCR fame, and Boone will get a new set of armor. If you choose the dialogue option that starts with "You can't take back what you've done," he'll get 1st Recon Survival Armor. The "Get over it" option gets him the 1st Recon Assault Armor. (Note that they have identical attributes.)
