Fallout: New Vegas Hints
Find the vents Keely is pumping gas through and somehow ignite the gas.
1 of 6: Take the elevator back to the Pest Control level, then return to the hallway with the doors that lead to the two hole-in-the-wall rooms.
2 of 6: The gassy vents that you need to ignite are at the north end of the hallway. The trouble is, igniting them will kill you even if you're standing at the hallway's south end.
3 of 6: Stand in the doorway of the data terminal room and quicksave, then throw a grenade or fire a laser weapon toward the gas leak. As soon as you throw or fire, start backing up.
4 of 6: You'll sometimes get toasted, but you sometimes won't. If you do, quickrestore and try again, maybe moving to a different spot in the room. (If you're next to the machine in the SE corner of the room, you'll have the best chance of avoiding damage.)
5 of 6: If you don't have any grenades or laser weapons, go get one, then come back and use it to detonate the gas. (Note that there are frag grenades in a duffle bag in Keely's room on the Oxygen Recycling level.)
6 of 6: TIP: Using a time bomb or long-fuse dynamite will give you plenty of time to get into position next to the machine in the SE corner of the data terminal room. You'll even have time to close the room's door on the way, which will cut down your chances of getting roasted even more.
