Fallout: New Vegas Hints

Shut down Vault 34's Reactor to help the Sharecropper Farms.

  • 1 of 8: Enter the flooded tunnel that starts under the overseer's raised desk.
  • 2 of 8: Kill ghouls as you move to the other end of the tunnel and go through a door.
  • 3 of 8: Look on the left side of the room past the door to find a terminal that you can use.
  • 4 of 8: Read the "SOS" entry to get the "(Optional) Save Vault 34's trapped dwellers by leaving its Reactor ..." objective, then choose "Open Reactor Door."
  • 5 of 8: Go through the door that's a ways to the left of the terminal, then cross the room to find another terminal.
  • 6 of 8: Kill any ghouls that come in after you, then use the terminal and choose either the "Seal external ventilation" option or the "Reroute control of the vault" option.
  • 7 of 8: Sealing the external ventilation is what the sharecroppers need you to do, and will get you some NCR fame. The other option will save the trapped vault dwellers and get you a bit more quest-finishing XP, but no fame.
  • 8 of 8: NOTE: If you save the vault dwellers, you can find them in Aerotech Suite 300 at the Aerotech Office Park (location 13 on the Zone 2 Map) several days later. You can talk to the one named Horowitz and say you're the one who rescued them, but you won't get anything for it, even if you ask for a vault trinket.
