Pit Combat Tips
1 of 3: Before talking to Red Lucy about a fight, you can drop down into the fighting pit and set some mines near your opponents' cage gate (the south one).
2 of 3: Or you can set mines inside their cage after winning a fight and before going up to claim your reward. This can be very handy when you're going to fight tougher enemies, like deathclaws.
3 of 3: Another thing you can try is closing your gate right after it opens and shooting through it. Your opponents won't be able to open the gate to get at you.
