Fallout: New Vegas Hints

Talk to Troike about mysterious gun shipments.

  • 1 of 7: Use an elevator to go to the Gomorrah Lower Lobby area, then follow the nearest quest arrow to find Troike.
  • 2 of 7: Say that Cachino sent you, then tell him that you're helping Cachino break up whatever the bosses are planning.
  • 3 of 7: If you can pass a Speech 80 check, Troike will answer questions about the guns right away.
  • 4 of 7: If you can pass a Speech 30 check, ask about what happened with the prostitute, then ask about the chems. If you can also pass a Medicine 30 check, you'll get the "Something about Troike's story doesn't sit well. Talk to Big Sal, or look ..." objective. After you finish it and another objective, Troike will talk to you about the guns.
  • 5 of 7: The only other way is to offer to get Troike out of his contract with the family, which gets you the "Troike would like help talking Big Sal into letting him out of his contract" objective. After you finish it and another objective, Troike will talk to you about the guns.
  • 6 of 7: Once he's willing to talk about the guns, ask what you can do to take care of them to learn about the thermite.
  • 7 of 7: If you can pass a Speech 70 check, you'll get the "Troike is going to destroy the guns for me. I should head out of the ..." objective. Otherwise, you'll have to say you'll destroy the guns yourself, which gets you the "Use Troike's thermite to destroy the guns in the storage room" objective. (Note that destroying them yourself is a better option in any case.)
