Fallout: New Vegas Hints
What good is the password?
1 of 7: If you hunted up Daniel to get his key, you probably noticed one or both of the flooded side passages that you passed by on the way to his room.
2 of 7: If you go diving in either of the passages, you'll find a door that requires a Lockpick skill of 75+ to open. If you can't pick those doors open, you can unlock them from the overseer's office.
3 of 7: In the cage room, use the terminal that's on the wall to the left of the cage to open the nearby locked door, then go through it and turn right.
4 of 7: Go up the stairs and turn left, then go to the end of the area and turn left again to find the door to the overseer's office.
5 of 7: Use the large terminal that's on the wall behind the desk and choose the "Unlock Storage Room Doors" option. (NOTE: The doors may not actually unlock unless you also read all four of the messages on the terminal, so do that, too.)
6 of 7: You can now go diving in the two underwater areas to find that their doors are unlocked. Past each door is a room with two gun cabinets, some other containers, and some loose items.
7 of 7: TIP: To avoid drowning while looting those rooms, you'll probably need to wear the rebreather that can be gotten on the "Volare!" Boomers faction quest.
