Fallout: New Vegas Hints

The Snowglobe Collector

  • 1 of 13: Work on the Main Quests until you meet Mr. House in the Lucky 38 Casino, then talk to the securitron named Jane about his snowglobe collection.
  • 2 of 13: There are seven snowglobes that you can find and bring to Jane for a reward of 2000 caps each.
  • 3 of 13: The nearest one is in the Lucky 38's Cocktail Lounge area, which will be accessible via elevator after you speak to Mr. House.
  • 4 of 13: Look for the "Test Site" snowglobe on the circular counter that goes around the central elevator shaft. It's behind a cash register on the north side of the shaft.
  • 5 of 13: The next-closest one is in Vault 21. Go to the southern section of the New Vegas Strip and enter the Vault 21 Gift Shop, then go through it to enter Vault 21.
  • 6 of 13: Go down the stairs to a big room with blackjack tables, then go through the doorway in its NE corner. The second door down the hallway on the left leads to the room with the "The Strip" snowglobe on a small table between beds. (If you can't pick the door open, go back to the gift shop and pickpocket Sarah's room passcard.)
  • 7 of 13: Next, go to the Old Mormon Fort in Freeside's first section. Go through the door at the west end of the fort's courtyard, then go up the stairs and look for the "Mormon Fort" snowglobe on top of some wooden shelves.
  • 8 of 13: The other four snowglobes are quite a bit farther away. You might as well start with the "Goodsprings" snowglobe, which is next to a small grave marker near the water tower at the Goodsprings Cemetery (location 2 on the Zone 3 Map).
  • 9 of 13: Go to the Hoover Dam (location 45 on the Zone 2 Map) and look for the "Hoover Dam" snowglobe next to the terminal on the Visitor Center's front desk.
  • 10 of 13: Go to Jacobstown (location 1 on the Zone 1 Map) and get the "Mt. Charleston" snowglobe from the front desk in the lodge.
  • 11 of 13: The hardest snowglobe to get to is the one at the Nellis AFB. Get the "Volare!" Boomers faction quest to gain access to the AFB, then look for the "Nellis AFB" snowglobe on the table to your right as you enter the Nellis Boomer Museum.
  • 12 of 13: After you turn in all seven snowglobes, you'll have gained a whopping 14,000 caps! You might want to consider spending some of that on implants. (See the Implant Perk List.)
  • 13 of 13: NOTE: You can view all of the snowglobes you've turned in at any time by going to the Lucky 38's Presidential Suite and checking the display case in the NE room.
