Fallout 2 Hints
Free the slaves.
1 of 8: Talk to the Rangers inside the NCR's city.
2 of 8: You can find them in a building downtown with a broken car outside.
3 of 8: Just talk to them, and say you're opposed to slavery. They'll offer you this job.
4 of 8: All you need to do is go up to the slaver's outside the city and free the slaves.
5 of 8: Of course, this means killing the slavers who are guarding their slaves, but that's just standard combat.
6 of 8: A proper use of skills will let you open the cages.
7 of 8: Try using your science skill on the terminal. As with any skill-related test, you may have to try a few times, but you should eventually be able to free the slaves.
8 of 8: Then, go back to report on your success, and join the Rangers.
