Fallout 2 Hints
Investigate Richard's murder.
1 of 16: Orville Wright will hire you for this task if you have the proper referral.
2 of 16: Talk to one of his sons at the railroad station to learn the old man is hiring.
3 of 16: And then report to Keith Wright (just outside of his father's room).
4 of 16: You will then be able to get in to see Orville, and get a job to find his son's murderer.
5 of 16: It sounds like Richard was killed by Jet. You might want to talk to some of the Jet dealers in town to see what they have to say.
6 of 16: Suspects include Jules (on Virgin Street), Jimmy J (on Second Street), the younger Jesus Mordino, and Renesco (on the west side).
7 of 16: They all seem to point fingers at each other -- that doesn't do you much good.
8 of 16: Maybe you need some hard evidence.
9 of 16: Try searching carefully.
10 of 16: You need to know where to start your search, though.
11 of 16: Talk to Keith Wright. If your speech skill and/or intelligence is high enough, you will be able to ask him to point out Richard's room. It's the one immediately next to Mrs. Wright's room.
12 of 16: Search the bookcase on the right, and you will find an empty Jet canister. Note that this will only work once you've been told where Richard's room is -- and this may not happen for every character at every skill level.
13 of 16: Now use your evidence to learn about the crime.
14 of 16: Take it to Jules and then Jimmy J. They will tell you that the canister was poisoned and provided by Renesco.
15 of 16: Renesco will admit that the canister was his, and tell you that Salvatore put him up to it.
16 of 16: Relay this information to Orville Wright.
