Fallout 2 Hints
Throwing
Throwing lets you use any thrown weapon, like grenades, as well as spears and knives, if you choose to throw them rather than swing or thrust them.
I generally didn't like Throwing. For one, I think you get better ranged attacks with the gun skills. Not to mention that you have to have the items to throw. Grenades are generally in pretty short supply, even toward the end of the game. And keep in mind that you need to have one of each thrown item that isn't consumed (like a knife or spear) per attack, or take up the action points to collect these items from the ground. In short, I found that you're not going to get much use out of this skill in combat.
