Fix the computer.
1 of 11: You will get this quest when you meet up with Gruthar, leader of the intelligent deathclaws in Vault 13.
2 of 11: Before you go to solve it, note that a very short timer will start as soon as you enter Vault 13. If you fail finish to the game within that amount of time, there will be a negative effect on the endgame narration that sums up your accomplishments and failures throughout the game. If you care about this sort of thing, you may want to avoid entering Vault 13, at least until the game is nearly over.
3 of 11: All you need to do to get this quest is to agree to help Gruthar with the main computer.
4 of 11: Go down and take a look at it. It's on level 3.
5 of 11: Try using your science and/or repair skills, or if that fails, talk to the human who's watching over the computer.
6 of 11: You need to provide a new interface chip for the computer.
7 of 11: You may have come across several of the voice recognition modules in your travel.
8 of 11: One is available for $3000 from Renesco in New Reno.
9 of 11: Just ask for his special items, and he'll offer it.
10 of 11: I've also been told that if you can find one in a locked container in the vault in Vault City.
11 of 11: Either way, just use the chip on the computer to repair it.
