Fallout 2 Hints
Doctor
Doctor lets you heal major wounds, and does more healing than First Aid. Also, note that even when you've run out of uses of First Aid in a day, you can also try Doctor a few times.
I preferred this skill to First Aid, for two main reasons. One, there are no good ways of learning the skill aside from pumping skill points to the skill directly. And more importantly, this skill opens up the Living Anatomy perk (at Doctor 60%), which also gives you increased damage in combat. But like the First Aid skill, it isn't strictly necessary for healing -- in that you can usually just rest to heal damage to your character or party.
