Fallout 2 Hints
How do I get to the reactor controls?
1 of 7: One choice is to go in there yourself. But unless you have a high radiation resistance, and probably a dose of Rad-Away to take after the fact, I wouldn't recommend doing so.
2 of 7: Or you can use the computer console, and program the robot to do it.
3 of 7: Basically, play with the controls until the computer tells you that you have to manually program the robot. Read over the instructions, and take a look at the reactor room itself (you can see inside without entering) to see if you can figure out what to do here.
4 of 7: You will have to move the robot in very small steps, or it will run into an error and return to its base in front of the console.
5 of 7: Just look at the parts in the reactor room, and you should notice that they match the options for steps in the program.
6 of 7: When I played the game, I found two possibilities for the steps. One went Jupiter, Saturn, Uranium, Neptunium, and Plutonium. The other followed the reverse order. You may have a different experience. If so, looking through the window or just trial and error will give you the proper order.
7 of 7: You need to create a program to move the robot to each of the five stations, one at a time. The sixth line of your program can then be to shut down the reactor, or repair it, whichever you'd prefer.
