Fallout 2 Hints
Bring tools to Valerie.
1 of 8: Valerie in the Vault City maintenance shop will ask you to find a couple of tools for her. (Well, actually, you'll offer to find them, when she says she needs some tools.)
2 of 8: You can just buy the pliers within Vault City. Try Amenties Shop B. The pliers are just called a "tool".
3 of 8: The wrench is going to be harder to find, though.
4 of 8: I've heard it's possible to get one by solving a quest in Vault City involved a little kid's doll. I never found the little kid to get the quest, much less the doll, so I wasn't able to test this method.
5 of 8: You will also find a wrench stored away in another location. Search everything closely, or just read ahead for the answer.
6 of 8: Try Redding.
7 of 8: There is a wrench in a locker at the Morningstar Mine.
8 of 8: Come back to Valerie in another day or two, and she will be able to "reward" you with a super toolkit.
