Outdoorsman
1 of 2: A high Outdoorsman skill improves your chances of avoiding random encounters.
Since most encounters generally involve some kind of fighting, if you want to avoid combat, this skill can be useful. You also have the option of walking your party off the map and escaping combat, too. You might take some damage on your way off the screen, but generally not enough to kill you. If you have fewer hit points, this skill would probably be of more use.
