(Optional) Speak with Scribe Vallincourt in the Citadel Lab.
1 of 3: Go to the laboratory and use the local map's quest arrow to help you find Vallincourt.
2 of 3: Talk to her to get a prototype device, which will allow you to take control of any Enclave-controlled deathclaws that you come in contact with.
3 of 3: WARNING: The first time you fast-travel anywhere after getting the device, an Enclave-controlled deathclaw may appear, even if you haven't been near any. This can be bad if you travel somewhere populated, like Megaton, since a lot of people will probably be killed.
