Fallout 3 Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
Ground-Floor Combat Tips
of 10: After you go through the door, look in the area to the right for your deathclaw. (Note that you may have to turn off a repulsion field or two to get to it.)
of 10: To start with, get out your pulse grenades and go through the door with the ARMORY sign over it, and then to the doorway to the right.
of 10: There's some *serious* firepower in there, most of it robotic in nature. You'll want to soften it up with pulse grenades while staying at the doorway for cover, then unleash your deathclaw on it.
of 10: If your deathclaw or follower runs in early, keep throwing grenades -- they won't damage him as quickly as everything else in there will be.
of 10: After that's done, lead (or follow) your deathclaw around to all the ground-floor areas except the dormitory to clear the place out.
of 10: You might then want to pause to loot the armory and storage rooms, or you can just continue by entering the ground-level dormitory and clearing it out. (Note that a tough Enclave soldier squad will probably run down from the upper floor and attack you at some point.)
of 10: NOTE: Be sure to loot all dead security officers so you can get a high clearance keycard.
of 10: After you finish clearing and looting the ground-floor dormitory areas, be sure to loot the other ground-floor areas if you haven't already.
of 10: The armory is particularly well-stocked. Besides the other good stuff, it has three ammo boxes with alien power cells in them, plus a gun case with an alien blaster and more alien power cells! Also, be sure to loot the armory master's body to get the unique Composite Recon Helmet and Precision Gatling Laser items.
of 10: Go through all of the ground-floor areas again to make sure no new enemies have run down from the top floor. Also, it's likely that you missed some loot, since there's so much of it everywhere.
