Fallout 3 Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints

Upper-Floor Combat Tips

  • 1 of 8: Go to the NW corner of the ground floor's main room, then go up the stairs and into the medical bay that's just ahead. Trash the robo-doc if he's still there, then loot the place.
  • 2 of 8: NOTE: There's also a human Enclave doctor who starts out in or near the medical bay who's wearing a unique Lab Coat. However, she'll probably run off somewhere, and you'll have to hunt her down.
  • 3 of 8: Leave the bay through its north door, then go along and clear out the upper-floor dormitory area. Chances are you won't find many hostiles, since the ones who were up there are likely to have run downstairs after you while you were still clearing the ground floor.
  • 4 of 8: After you're done in the dorm, check out the upper walkways that make up the south half of the upper floor.
  • 5 of 8: In the area surrounded by repulsion fields, you can find the unique Slo-Burn Flamer. Unlike the rapid-torch flamer, it's not identical to regular flamers. The one difference is that it consumes flamer fuel at three times the normal rate in order to boost its damage output by approximately 13%. Is that small damage increase worth using up all the extra fuel? You decide.
  • 6 of 8: Go back to the area with the medical bay, then go through the doorway marked "HIGH SECURITY CLEARANCE."
  • 7 of 8: You'll be able to open the locked door past it if you've gotten at least one high clearance keycard from a dead security officer. (Or maybe the door will have already been opened by a security officer.)
  • 8 of 8: Go under the "MAINFRAME" and "SENSITIVE ELECTRONICS" signs to find a security terminal that you can use to unlock various doors, including the armory door, if you were unable to pick them open earlier.
