Fallout 3 Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints

Where are the easiest places to find steel ingots?

  • 1 of 12: To start with, look just ahead of you after you enter the Steelyard.
  • 2 of 12: There are two steel ingots on the walkway, next to the dead Pitt slave. (They're the things that look like large chunks of concrete.)
  • 3 of 12: Grab the ingots and the Pitt slave's assault rifle and ammo, then go down the wide pathway that leads west.
  • 4 of 12: When you come to a truck with a makeshift ramp leading onto it, go up the ramp and to the back of the truck.
  • 5 of 12: Turn left and take a running jump onto the nearest big trash bin.
  • 6 of 12: Pick up the two steel ingots in that bin, then get onto the cinderblocks and jump across to the next bin.
  • 7 of 12: Get its two ingots, then get onto the large rounded devices in the back and jump across to the third and final bin.
  • 8 of 12: There aren't any ingots there, but if you drop carefully down into the open dumpster that a dead Pitt slave is in, you'll find three ingots inside the dumpster.
  • 9 of 12: Jump out of the dumpster, then go up the nearby stairs.
  • 10 of 12: Past the board plank, turn right and walk along the big ledge while looking carefully at the tops of all the nearby red and brown train cars.
  • 11 of 12: When you spot the brown car with two steel ingots on top of it, jump onto the nearest metal archway, being careful to stay on one edge or another so you don't fall down through it.
  • 12 of 12: Move across the archway until you can drop down next to the ingots, then take them both. This will bring your total up to 11, and you'll get the Auto Axpert perk.
