Fallout 3 Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
Post-Quest Notes (Extortion Choice)
1 of 4: These notes only apply if you chose to extort money from Lepelletier.
2 of 4: If you took the one-time payment of 500 caps, there's no other reward. If you return to the wharf and talk to one of the bandits, they'll all turn hostile because you cheated them.
3 of 4: If you took the 200-caps-a-week contract, return to the wharf in a week or so and talk to a bandit to get your cut of 50 caps. If you can pass a Speech Challenge or a Strength or Luck check, you can also get the 50-cap cut of the bandit you're talking to. If you're sneaky enough, you can try pickpocketing the other bandits' cuts from them. And don't forget to keep coming back every week for more!
4 of 4: In either case, if you walk up to Lepelletier and stand there for any length of time, she'll turn hostile, and so will the rest of Rivet City (including all of the Rivet City security guards who are escorting water caravans). That's probably way more hassle than it's worth, so steer clear of Lepelletier.
