Fallout 3 Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints

Notes on Alien Items

  • 1 of 7: You'll be getting various new alien items from containers (including dead aliens) and lying around loose.
  • 2 of 7: One of those items is alien epoxy. It can be used to repair your currently equipped weapon by a certain amount (dependent on your Repair skill), and should be saved for use on rare or unique weapons that you'd otherwise have to pay merchants to repair.
  • 3 of 7: There are two alien food items (worm food and squid food) that you can eat to restore a small amount of health.
  • 4 of 7: There's also alien biogel, which can be used to heal you. Unfortunately, it can have temporary side effects, many of which are bad (but some of which are good).
  • 5 of 7: You shouldn't ever use regular alien biogel, but should instead save it all for transformation into adapted biogel, which heals a whole lot more. Only then will it be worth risking bad side effects. (The biogel adapter is a guy named Elliot, whom you'll be meeting soon.)
  • 6 of 7: Alien power modules are ammo for all of the new types of alien guns, including atomizers and disintegrators. Note that they're incompatible with the alien blaster and Firelance, which require alien power cells.
  • 7 of 7: The two sizes (large and small) of alien crystal that you find can be sold to merchants once you return to the wasteland. They have no other uses.
