How do I get to the next area?

  • 1 of 7: Go to the north end of the area and look around for anything interactive. (Note that Somah may or may not talk to you from the upper walkway at this point.)
  • 2 of 7: Look for an electronics access panel with an animated hologram floating in the air near it.
  • 3 of 7: Activate the panel to learn that you're going to have to overload it, which will cause a painful explosion.
  • 4 of 7: If your Repair skill isn't 75+, you'll want to activate it from the maximum distance possible, then start running backward right away. That might help minimize the damage you take.
  • 5 of 7: In any case, go up to the hole where the wall panel used to be with your drone cannon out. There will be several aliens and drones in the area ahead that weren't killed by the explosion.
  • 6 of 7: TIP: If you use a weapon that's accurate at a distance instead of the drone cannon, you won't have to come as far out of cover to shoot your targets, which lessens the chance that a guardian drone can blast you with his drone cannon. You might also want to try retreating back a bit and waiting for enemies to come through the tunnel after you, and drone-cannoning them when they do.
  • 7 of 7: TIP: If you have a cloaking device (stealth boy or Chinese stealth armor), use it to sneak in and locate the alien who's activating drones. Sneak-attack him to kill him without being detected, then loot his body to get his drone control device. The drone he had active will then work for you, and you can get another drone from a pod once it's destroyed.
