Fallout 3 Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
Engine Room
of 14: Find the door to this area along the west side of the main core room.
of 14: Go down the stairs to a small control room, then get a gun out and open its other door, ready to shoot some aliens (and maybe a drone) in the corridor ahead. After the corridor is clear, go down it to find a healing archway followed by a small room, and then the main engine room.
of 14: Hang back in the hallway or the small room and shoot aliens and drones as they come after you. When they're all down, head NW across the engine room to find a control between two windows.
of 14: If your Science skill is high enough to use the control, do so and overload the turret in the room past the windows to destroy it and possibly kill the aliens who are in there.
of 14: Next, go through the doorway in the SE corner of the engine room to find a back room with a container, some biogel and epoxy, and the unique shock baton called the Electro-Suppressor.
of 14: Return to the engine room and go through either of the doorways in the south wall to find a room with a control near a window.
of 14: Use the control to open the engine room's west door, then run over there and kill the aliens that run to the attack. (Or set some mines next to the door before using the control.)
of 14: After they're down, go through the door and forward slowly, watching for more aliens and drones to attack from the area to the left. When you come to where the main corridor bends right, be ready to shoot out a ceiling turret.
of 14: Approach the next doorway carefully, since there are some drones in the room ahead, including at least one guardian drone. Remember how powerful their drone cannons are!
of 14: Go through their room's east exit to find a healing archway and a room with a ceiling turret, two containers, and some biogel and crystals. Return to the drones' room and go down the stairs to find another turret-overload control next to a door.
of 14: Open the door and quickly shoot out the ceiling turret if you didn't overload it, then wait there for aliens and drones to come to you. When they stop doing that, move ahead and through two large twin-machine rooms, watching for more enemies.
of 14: Past those rooms is a healing archway and another turret-overload control, followed by a ceiling turret, an alien (probably), and a container to raid.
of 14: Go up the steps past the container slowly, ready to quickly retreat from the aliens in the next room to get better cover. After they're all down, enter their room and look for a container plus crystals, epoxy, and biogel on a bench.
of 14: Move on south past that to reenter the big engine room you were in before. You're now done with the area, and can return to the Engineering Core to see what all new stuff you can get there.
