How can I get the Xenotech Expert perk?

  • 1 of 7: In the eastern section of the big room, go through the north doorway to find a shooting range.
  • 2 of 7: Turn right past the doorway and look on a small shelf near an active teleporter to find the Destabilizer, a unique alien disintegrator.
  • 3 of 7: Equip any alien weapon, then go over and use the nearby control to cause a brahmin to appear on the teleporter you see on the lower floor ahead.
  • 4 of 7: Kill the brahmin, watching out that your drone pal (if you have one) doesn't blast you in the back while trying to do the same.
  • 5 of 7: Keep pressing the control to get more brahmin until there aren't any more, then go down the passage to the north (checking for a container and an archway as you go) to find another shooting range and a couple of spare alien weapons.
  • 6 of 7: This one is a lot more dangerous, since using the control will teleport in lots of wasteland hostiles, most of which will have ranged weapons. Don't hesitate to put on your best armor, use a med-x, and take cover to heal up (or use the archway) whenever necessary.
  • 7 of 7: Keep shooting those guys with an alien weapon until you get the Xenotech Expert perk. You can then leave, or you can finish them off for more XP. (If you don't get the perk after the first wave, press the control for a second wave.)
