Fallout 3 Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
Post Quest Notes
1 of 6: Go back to the southern room with the inactive teleporter and wait for one of your companions to run up and say that a homing beacon has been fired down at the spot where the crashed UFO was.
2 of 6: This causes the teleporter to the Capital Wasteland to become active. You can now beam back down there, and then back up here at any time by using the alien homing beacon. (Note that the beacon is marked on your world map for fast travel.)
3 of 6: Paulson and Somah will disappear from the game the first time you beam down to the wasteland, so you'll probably want to gun them down for their inventory items before doing that.
5 of 6: Go down the stairs to the lower floor at the north end of the bridge to find two containers that you can raid. You can then start using them for long-term storage, and might want to move your stored items from the Engineering Core to them.
6 of 6: Once a day, you can ask Sally and Elliot for a few random items that they've scrounged up. You may or may not be able to get a few items right away.
