Fallout 3 Hints

Saloon Supply Tips

  • 1 of 9: In the back room you appear in, there's a locked terminal you can hack for XP, a locked cabinet you can pick open to find the terminal's password, some lockers you can search, and four metal boxes (two on shelves, and two on the floor).
  • 2 of 9: Go through the room's "shack door" to find yourself behind the bar. Talk to Gob and choose the only polite responses given to get a discount on his store goods. That'll make him the best merchant in town to sell items to (as long as he has money to buy them, anyway).
  • 3 of 9: On the bar is a cash register that's very hard to pick open (especially unseen), plus some whiskey bottles and iguana bits that you can steal after using Grab mode to carry them off out of everyone's sight.
  • 4 of 9: There's two more whiskey bottles on the shelves nearby, plus a toolbox and two metal boxes a bit to the left of it. (There's also a locked refrigerator back there, but you can't ever open it unless you kill Gob and get his key.)
  • 5 of 9: Just SE of the bar are four more metal boxes on some shelves, plus a small room with some iguana bits on a table.
  • 6 of 9: The small bathroom area next to the stairs has a sink that heals 30 hit points while only hitting you with 3 rads per sip.
  • 7 of 9: Check the table near the saloon's front door for beer, then head up the stairs and see if you can pick the lock on the nearby shack door. If you can, you'll get XP for it, though the room past the door doesn't have much in it -- just a filing cabinet.
  • 8 of 9: There are three other bedrooms to search. The one to the right of the locked one also just has a filing cabinet. The one to the right of that has a metal box in one corner, a table with some beer and food items on it, and a cabinet with a tough lock on it.
  • 9 of 9: The fourth and final bedroom is just another filing-cabinet-only disappointment.
