Fallout 3 Hints

Escort to Big Town

  • 1 of 9: The person who wants an escort to Big Town is inside the caverns at Little Lamplight (location 11 on the Zone 4 Map).
  • 2 of 9: Before you go there, visit Big Town (location 10 on the Zone 5 Map) if you haven't already so that you'll be able to fast-travel to it later.
  • 3 of 9: Enter the Lamplight Caverns area and get Mayor MacCready to open the gate that he's guarding.
  • 4 of 9: To do that, use the Child at Heart option (if you have that perk), pass a tough Speech Challenge, or do the "Rescue from Paradise" misc. quest.
  • 5 of 9: Just past the gate on the left is Sticky, the guy you're after. He's wearing a bright red party hat, and he's talking to some kids.
  • 6 of 9: Talk to him and offer to escort him to Big Town now that he's too old to live at Little Lamplight.
  • 7 of 9: You can ask for caps in payment for your services, but you won't ever get any, despite what he says about his girlfriend paying you.
  • 8 of 9: After he's following you, exit the caverns and fast-travel to Big Town.
  • 9 of 9: Talk to him after you get there to find out that you're not going to get a reward for helping him (unless you ask about his party hat, in which case you'll at least get that).
