Fallout 3 Hints

Place the observer in a spawning pod in the Anchorage War Memorial.

  • 1 of 10: Getting the bonus on this task can be hard unless you plan ahead.
  • 2 of 10: At any time before you get this objective, go to the Anchorage Memorial (location 5 on the Zone 9 Map).
  • 3 of 10: Look on the lower ground, next to the river, directly SE of the big memorial statue to find the door to the Memorial Service Entrance area. It has a very easy lock on it, so you should be able to pick it open.
  • 4 of 10: While staying out of the radioactive water as much as you can, move forward to the path junction and look for mirelurks.
  • 5 of 10: Kill all of the ones that come after you, retreating back outside if you get overwhelmed. They probably won't follow you out.
  • 6 of 10: After all the mirelurks in the starting area are dead, look around for mirelurk spawning pods. There are several in the area.
  • 7 of 10: Go back outside, then fast-travel back to Megaton and get this objective.
  • 8 of 10: Once you have it, return to the Memorial Service Entrance area and go up to one of the spawning pods.
  • 9 of 10: Activate it and choose to put the observation device into it, then retrace your steps carefully so you can leave the area safely.
  • 10 of 10: NOTE: It actually wouldn't be all that hard to get this objective, run into the Memorial Service Entrance area, plant the observation device in a spawning pod, and then run back out without fighting any mirelurks.
