Fallout 3 Hints
How do the different responses work?
1 of 8: There will always be at least two responses available, one of which is a straightforward answer, and the other of which is rather snide and sarcastic.
2 of 8: There can be up to three other options, depending on your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes.
3 of 8: One option will be available if your Strength or Endurance is 7 or higher. Whether the option is Strength-related or Endurance-related will depend on the objective you're reporting on, and whether or not you did its optional component. (Note that if an objective can have an Endurance-related option, and your Endurance is less than 7, you won't get the option no matter what your Strength is.)
4 of 8: The other two options similarly pair up Perception with Intelligence and Charisma with Agility. The right one of them will have to be at least 7 for the option to appear.
5 of 8: Your end-of-quest perk will always contain increases to poison resistance and radiation resistance. What else it contains will be determined by what response style you used most often.
Straightforward: health boost Snide: increase in critical chance Strength/Endurance: increased damage resistance Charisma/Agility: bonuses to Sneak and Speech skills Perception/Intelligence: bonuses to Medicine and Science skills
6 of 8: Note that the strength of each perk feature depends on how many optional objectives you completed. You must do all nine optionals for the strongest version.
7 of 8: If you're wanting to get a certain attribute-related response, but your two attributes for that response type are under 7, then put on clothing items or use chems that boost those attributes right before talking to Moira. Also, see the list below to find out exactly which attributes from each pair are checked for each objective completion.
8 of 8: For example, if you wanted to make sure your survival perk increased your damage resistance, use a buffout item right before talking to Moira after finishing five out of the nine objectives. (If your Strength and Endurance stats aren't high enough unaided to get you the right response on any objectives, that is.)
