Fallout 3 Hints
How can I end the quest early, and why should I?
1 of 6: Soon after the quest starts, you'll get a dialogue option about wanting to ask her about the guide, or your research, or her experiments -- something like that.
2 of 6: Choose that option, then ask why she can't do the research herself, and say it sounds like she doesn't know what she's doing.
3 of 6: You'll then get the tough Speech Challenge. If you can pass it, Moira will give up on the survival guide, and the quest will end.
4 of 6: One benefit is that you'll get the Dream Crusher perk, which reduces all enemies' chances of getting a critical hit on you by 50%.
5 of 6: The other benefits are that Moira will give you a 30% discount on her store goods (and pay you 30% more for stuff you sell her), and she'll be able to repair things a lot better than she could before (up to 72% instead of 54%).
6 of 6: If you're sure you want to go this way, it's best to wait until you've finished the last Chapter 3 objective. After getting your reward for it, say you're taking a break from the research, then quicksave and try the Speech Challenge until you can pass it. (Just remember that you won't ever be able to get the cool survival perk.)
