Fallout 3 Hints

Bumble and the Boogeyman

  • 1 of 14: Before you can get going on this undocumented quest, you'll have to do two things.
  • 2 of 14: One is to gain entrance to Paradise Falls (location 8 on the Zone 2 Map), and the other is to gain entrance to the caverns at Little Lamplight (location 11 on the Zone 4 Map).
  • 3 of 14: See the "Rescue from Paradise" misc. quest to learn how to do both.
  • 4 of 14: Once that's accomplished, talk to Eulogy Jones, who's either in or near his pad along the east side of the main Paradise Falls area.
  • 5 of 14: Ask him if he's ever thought of collecting any kids from Little Lamplight, then agree to enslave one of the younger ones for him.
  • 6 of 14: Return to Little Lamplight, and you'll find a "child slaver" person standing next to the shack that's nearest the entrance to the Lamplight Caverns.
  • 7 of 14: Don't bother talking to the slaver, but enter the caverns and search for a child who's particularly young and innocent-looking.
  • 8 of 14: The one you want is the little girl named Bumble. She's probably in the Little Lamplight Office Building, which is near the front gate. (If not, try the Souvenir Shop.)
  • 9 of 14: Quicksave before you talk to her, then tell her there's someone she should meet outside.
  • 10 of 14: That'll get you the Speech Challenge that you have to pass in order to enslave her. (Or if you have the Child at Heart perk, you won't have to pass the Speech Challenge.)
  • 11 of 14: Once she's following you, lead her to the child slaver outside, then stand and watch as the slaver tricks her into putting on a slave collar.
  • 12 of 14: After they start off for Paradise Falls, ensure their safe arrival by fast-traveling there.
  • 13 of 14: Talk to Eulogy Jones and ask him about Bumble to get your reward of the unique Boogeyman's Hood item.
  • 14 of 14: NOTE: You can use the same dialogue options from before to agree to enslave another kid from Little Lamplight, but you never can.
