Kendall Combat Tips
of 7: As soon as he sees you, he'll be swarmed by radroaches, so back out of sight.
of 7: He'll probably kill them all, so you'll still have to deal with him.
of 7: If you sneak up to the doorway to where the word "[HIDDEN]" at the top of the screen turns into "[CAUTION]" and then move back a bit, Kendall should walk down to your doorway, at which time you can clobber him with a hit from the bat.
of 7: Or you can let him see you, wait until he's almost upon you, then use the V.A.T.S. combat system to target his head for some rapid bat-whacking.
of 7: If the radroaches won, you can sharp-shoot the survivors with the BB gun, or run in and smash them with your bat. (Or just quickly punch them with your fists if you want to save your weapons.)
of 7: After the battle is over, loot Kendall to get security armor and a helmet, which you should wear for added protection, plus a baton you can start using as a melee weapon (though the bat is better).
of 7: The radroaches can be looted for radroach meat, which can be eaten to restore health (but will also slightly increase your radiation meter).
