(Optional) Rescue Shorty.
1 of 5: Have Red wait for you in her cell, then leave the cell area and find the door to the basement to the north. (If you fully explored the ground floor while searching for hostiles, you can check your local map for the door's location.)
2 of 5: In the basement's starting hallway, go through the doorway on the right to reach a large room, then go through its south doorway.
3 of 5: Turn right and move along to quickly come to the kitchen, where you'll find a super mutant menacing Shorty.
4 of 5: WARNING: If you wait long enough, or go off loot-gathering first, the super mutant (and any nearby radroaches) will attack Shorty and kill him. To prevent that, always run straight to the kitchen after entering the basement.
5 of 5: After the mutant and all nearby radroaches are dead, talk to Shorty to finish this objective.
