Fallout 3 Hints

Making Ultrajet

  • 1 of 10: Ultrajet is a more powerful version of the common jet chem that will temporarily add 40 to your action points (whereas ordinary jet only adds 30), and is therefore of great use to V.A.T.S.-focused fighters.
  • 2 of 10: The only guy in the game who can make ultrajet is a ghoul named Murphy. You'll find him at the Northwest Seneca Station (location 2 on the Zone 5 Map).
  • 3 of 10: After you arrive at the station, look for the stairs that lead down to a chain gate.
  • 4 of 10: Go through the gate to reach the underground metro area called Northwest Seneca Station.
  • 5 of 10: Head forward and to the left to find Murphy and his friend Barrett in an office area.
  • 6 of 10: After quicksaving, talk to Murphy about his secret ultrajet project, then volunteer to get him the sugar bombs he needs.
  • 7 of 10: If you can pass a Speech Challenge, you can get 30 caps per box of sugar bombs. Otherwise, you'll just get 15 caps a box. You should quickrestore and try again until you can pass the Speech Challenge in order to make lots more money.
  • 8 of 10: Now you need to go out and find all the sugar bombs boxes you can.
  • 9 of 10: Murphy needs eight sugar bombs boxes to make one ultrajet. It's okay to sell them to him in any quantity, since the game keeps track of exactly how many you've sold him.
  • 10 of 10: Once he has one or more ultrajets made, you can ask about them in order to bring up his barter screen.
