Basic Tips
of 4: The most important basic tip is to quicksave often in areas with any kind of hostiles in them. That plus the Combat Tips should help you survive just about every area, provided you go there well-equipped.
of 4: Another good basic tip is to use irradiated water sources and food to heal whenever you can, assuming you've already gotten the "my first infirmary" upgrade for your house. If so, you can use it whenever you return home to remove all your rads for free. This allows you to save on better healing items, like stimpaks.
of 4: When you're in a dark indoor area, you can use your Pip-Boy's flashlight to help you see a lot better. However, this isn't a good thing to do if there are still any hostiles nearby.
of 4: It's usually a good idea to sneak around with the flashlight off until you're sure all the nearby hostiles are dead, then turn the flashlight on and go looking for loot.
