Fallout 3 Hints
Find the Museum of Technology.
1 of 19: The Museum of Technology will be marked on your world map, but you can't fast-travel there yet, so you'll have to figure out a way to get there "manually."
2 of 19: The first thing to do is get to the Dupont Station area.
3 of 19: As soon as you exit to the Dupont Station area, turn right and go through the metal gate to the Dupont Circle Station metro area in Sneak mode.
4 of 19: Immediately attack the super mutant that's ahead of you, then quickly finish him and the other one off.
5 of 19: Go past them and through the door in the side niche, then down the tunnel to another door.
6 of 19: Past it, go into Sneak mode before you move down the stairs. Across the tracks and to the left is a sandbag wall with a small living area behind it. A raider with an assault rifle is back there somewhere. (If you're lucky, he'll be in bed, and you can sneak over and shoot him before he gets up.)
7 of 19: Loot the living area, then go down to the other end of the tracks to find a door to go through.
8 of 19: If you sneak through it, you may be able to catch the raider that's just past it by surprise. After killing him, loot his living area and move on to a very dangerous area with several raiders and two turrets.
11 of 19: Past the traps is a door to the Metro Central area, where you'll find several raiders and ghouls fighting each other. Wait in the starting area until the sounds of battle stop, then go through the door and finish off the survivors.
12 of 19: Loot the bodies and ammo table, then move on until you reach the doorway to another track tunnel. Keep right as you go through the doorway in order to avoid taking any rads from the barrels on the left.
13 of 19: Go south down the tracks until you reach the large mezzanine area with escalators and an upper floor. Stay on the lower floor and find the south tunnel entrance that has a "SOUTHBOUND MUSEUM STATION" sign above it.
14 of 19: Go south down the tracks, watching out for vicious dogs, until you can cross over to another set of tracks. Go south along them until you come to some stairs on the right with "mall outpost" graffiti on the wall next to them.
15 of 19: Past the stairs is a door to the Museum Station metro area. After going through it, move past the first room to find some stairs that are blocked at the top by large hatch doors.
16 of 19: In the pool room past the stairs, finish off the survivor of a raider-vs.-ghoul battle, then leave the pool room and enter another tunnel track area, watching out for several nearby raiders.
17 of 19: Go south down the tunnel until you reach a large mezzanine area with two escalators. Sneak your way up one of them and turn left, watching for two raiders to shoot as you go.
18 of 19: Head down the wide east hallway until you reach a metal gate that leads to the huge outdoor Mall area.
19 of 19: After going through the gate, sneak up to the top of the stairs to remain unseen, and look to the right to see the Museum of Technology's door nearby. Exit Sneak mode and run for it, then go through it to finally finish this objective.
