Fallout 3 Hints

Northern Area Notes

  • 1 of 10: You'll find two more fire hydrants as you go north down the east side of the area.
  • 2 of 10: Near the second hydrant is a fenced-in side area. It has two rad-x items in a small wooden crate on the ground next to a car, plus a motorcycle gas tank and a motorcycle handbrake on a tire near the same car.
  • 3 of 10: A bit NW of that, go along a narrow ledge next to some radioactive water and barrels to reach a lawnmower that you can get a blade from.
  • 4 of 10: From there, head up the rubble to the west, then turn right and go around to a tree that has a small wooden crate on the ground next to it. In the crate, you'll find two bundles of pre-war money and some mentats.
  • 5 of 10: Go back west and past a large "circle man" statue to find a Pulowski Preservation Shelter. Open it to find a Repair skill book and a few weapon-making component items.
  • 6 of 10: Just north of that shelter is an entrance to the Falls Church/Mason Dst Metro area (and a tin can on a step), and to the west of it are the doors to the Hubris Comics building.
  • 7 of 10: Return to the lawnmower, then go along the path that leads to a large circular area where you can free a wastelander that the super mutants were holding captive.
  • 8 of 10: Look for a leaf blower on a merry-go-round NW of the circular area, then go south from it to find a garbage can next to a cart.
  • 9 of 10: There are three Chinese assault rifles and two ammo boxes on the cart, plus an ammo box and a grenade box on the ground next to the cart.
  • 10 of 10: There's another garbage can just SW of the cart.
