Fallout 3 Hints
Can I get anything by going through the door they opened?
of 11: Yes, a few things.
of 11: After you go through their door, turn right and go through another open door.
of 11: The desk in the NE corner of the room has some bobby pins and scrap metal on it, plus a toolbox.
of 11: On the shelves to the left of the desk are three purified water bottles and another toolbox.
of 11: Exit that room and head straight forward (south) to find a door you can open.
of 11: In the room past another openable door, look on the wall just to the right of the doorway to find a locked first aid box. Open it using the Lockpicking Tips to get a couple of stimpaks.
of 11: Return to the main "junction" room and go through its west door. Not far past it, you'll find a door that leads back to the Vault 101 Atrium area. (It's the formerly locked door that two guards were stationed at, so I hope you killed them before.)
of 11: Pound any new radroaches in the room, then consider using the door that leads back to the main Vault 101 area and pickpocketing or sneak-attacking Officer Gomez, Butch, and whoever else is still around.
of 11: Return to the atrium and retrace your route from before to get to the security area, watching for more new radroaches. (There may or may not be any.)
of 11: Use the sink and toilet in the security area's back room to restore your health, and pick up anything from the lockers and desks that you left behind before. Even if you get overloaded, you can still walk out of here and on to Megaton, where you can sell stuff.
of 11: Continue onward until you return to the room with the open vault door.
