Frenzy Tip
of 9: If you mez someone in a town and he turns hostile (and his head doesn't explode), he may be the only one who turns hostile. Everyone else in town might stay friendly to you and attack the mezzed guy. (Note that having a high karma may help with this, but doesn't seem to be necessary.)
of 9: This is similar to the effect of the Frenzy spell in Oblivion, and can be used in the same way -- to get people killed so you can loot them without getting in trouble.
of 9: This might be a game glitch. It isn't totally reliable, and may be fixed in a future patch. Read on for some tips on using it if you want to give it a try.
of 9: As always, quicksave before mezzing someone. You may get the dizzy effect or the head-explode effect on him, which is very likely to turn the whole town hostile. Quickrestore if that happens and try again.
of 9: The town is also likely to turn hostile if you or a follower of yours attacks a mezzed guy. Never mez anyone when you have a follower, and always dodge around and let other people kill him for you after mezzing him.
of 9: Area transitions are also risky after mezzing someone, so make sure there are people in the area who can kill your mezzed guy for you. If you go through a door to another area before he's dead, others may turn hostile to you.
of 9: To make the killing of your mezzed guy much easier for whoever does it, you could pickpocket his ammo first. That way, he won't be able to use his weapon (unless it's a melee weapon).
of 9: One of the best places to do this is Rivet City. Pickpocket a security guard's ammo, then mez him to get everyone to attack him. Loot him after he's dead, and sell his stuff to make money. After you start exploring the D.C. metro ruins, you'll find it fun and profitable to do the same thing to the Brotherhood of Steel guys.
of 9: NOTE: While doing this, you'll need to be careful that no one important to you (like your favorite merchants) get killed. If they do, you'll want to quickrestore and try again.
