Fallout 3 Hints
Return to the control room.
1 of 8: The grate you came in through is locked, but the one that leads to the Sift Pump area isn't anymore, so go through it.
2 of 8: When the pipe goes vertical, carefully drop down from one small metal ledge to another until the pipe gets horizontal again.
3 of 8: After you go through a grate that leads to the sub-basement, quickly run forward and drop down to the floor below.
4 of 8: Get out a weapon and run out the doorway ahead of you, then turn left.
5 of 8: Go up the stairs to the upper sub-basement area, ready to blast any Enclave soldiers that get in your way.
6 of 8: Return to the gift shop area, and optionally shoot down the Enclave soldiers in there. Or just run for the nearest rotunda door without fighting the soldiers.
7 of 8: Run up the stairs in the rotunda and wait near Doctor Li (but not too close to the window) while your father confronts the leader of the Enclave assault force.
8 of 8: This objective will end after your father triggers a lethal radiation dose in the control room and Doctor Li talks to you.
