Fallout 3 Hints

Report to Elder Lyons at the Citadel.

  • 1 of 9: Run forward and wait for Fawkes to finish blasting soldiers and talk to you. If you have a high enough karma, you can choose to ask him to join you as a follower. (These hints will assume you can't or don't want to.)
  • 2 of 9: As soon as the conversation with Fawkes is over, move away from the base quickly if you got the "president" to set it to self-destruct.
  • 3 of 9: Kill any remaining enemies nearby, then fast-travel to the Citadel.
  • 4 of 9: Enter the courtyard, then follow your quest arrow to Elder Lyons.
  • 5 of 9: You'll find him on the lower floor of the laboratory area, talking to Sentinel Lyons and Scribe Rothchild.
  • 6 of 9: Walk up to them until you freeze in place, then wait for Elder Lyons to talk to you.
  • 7 of 9: After you give him the bad news about the G.E.C.K. (and optionally tell him about the FEV virus), wait while they talk among themselves some more.
  • 8 of 9: When Sentinel Lyons talks to you and inducts you into her "pride," you can choose to accept power armor, recon armor, or refuse the armor. If you got Tesla armor from somewhere, or have the unique T-51b Power Armor, you may want to just refuse the offered armor.
  • 9 of 9: Tell her you need another minute or two when she asks if you're ready to go. That way, you can adjust your inventory, load up on big guns, do business with Durga in the nearby armory, etc. before starting the "Take it Back!" quest.
