Fallout 3 Hints
Secure the Project Purity Control Room.
1 of 7: As soon as you enter the rotunda, Colonel Autumn will speak to you.
2 of 7: You'll be able to attempt a Speech Challenge to try to get him and his two heavily-armored bodyguards to depart peacefully. If you fail, you'll have to fight them.
3 of 7: After Sentinel Lyons talks to you, quicksave, then follow her up the stairs to where she talks to Doctor Li via intercom.
4 of 7: NOTE: Don't get too close to the windows or the room past Lyons, or you'll start taking radiation damage earlier than necessary.
5 of 7: When Lyons talks to you, you'll be forced to choose who goes into the deadly radioactive chamber -- her or you.
6 of 7: This is the end of the game either way, so if you're feeling all noble and "I must finish my father's work!" and such, go ahead and volunteer. What have you got to lose?
7 of 7: NOTE: If you have the Broken Steel add-on game installed, you'll survive entering the radioactive chamber, but Lyons won't. Also, you can send a radiation-proof follower in there if you have one with you, and he'll survive.
