Fallout 3 Hints
Activate Project Purity!
1 of 7: You'll get this objective if you volunteer to go into the radioactive chamber yourself. (You may also get it if you send a follower in, but these hints won't apply in that case.)
2 of 7: First, put on your best radiation suit, use radaway items if necessary to lower your current exposure, and use a rad-x item to make you more resistant. (Or just move really fast so you won't die before you can finish your task.)
3 of 7: Move past Sentinel Lyons to enter the airlock chamber, after which she closes the door behind you.
4 of 7: You'll be next to the auxiliary filtration input console. Use it and choose to insert the modified FEV virus if you wish to carry out President Eden's plan of poisoning the water supply against all mutants.
5 of 7: Turn left from that console and go straight forward until you're right up against the console with the numbered keypad at its top right corner. (Note that there's a dead scientist on the floor just to the left that you can get rad-x and radaway items from if you need them.)
6 of 7: Enter the activation code (216) by aiming your cursor at the correct keys and activating them, followed by the large "ENTER" key.
7 of 7: After that, just wait and watch as the ending cut-scene plays out.
