F.E.A.R. Extraction Point Hints
Heavy Armor Combat Tips
of 17: Soon after you go through the sliding doors to the waiting room, they'll slide shut and lock behind you, trapping you in a fairly small room with two Heavy Armors.
of 17: That's *extremely* bad, to put it mildly, but fortunately there's a way around having to fight those Heavy Armors while stuck in that room.
of 17: Without going through the doors, toss a deployable turret into the waiting room so that it lands on the floor a short way into the room.
of 17: That should draw out both Heavy Armors, who will shoot at the turret, but will usually miss it.
of 17: To help make sure they keep missing it, you should stand behind the unbreakable glass on either side of the open doors to distract them.
of 17: Also, it would be useful to make a few SlowMo-strafe attacks on them to help injure them. That's dangerous, but access to all the supplies in previous areas is about to be permanently cut off from you, so you could use them to heal up if you get injured here.
of 17: If they manage to destroy your turret, you can toss another one or just finish them off with standard SlowMo tactics.
of 17: After the second Heavy Armor dies, a third will break into the waiting room through its back doors.
of 17: This one has a minigun, so be extra cautious with it.
of 17: Unfortunately, it will also be extra cautious, most likely staying on the stairs next to the door it broke through.
of 17: After going back through the previous areas for any supplies you need, go into the waiting room and down toward the other end so the Heavy Armor will come down the stairs.
of 17: Be careful to keep a pillar between you and it as you SlowMo-shoot it with your own minigun.
of 17: It's hard to keep from being shot while letting SlowMo recharge, but it is possible.
of 17: Another thing you could try is tossing a deployable turret so that it sticks about halfway up the wall that's directly across the room from the Heavy Armor's position. From there, it would have a straight shot at the Heavy.
of 17: As soon as the turret is set, take cover behind the pillar that's nearest the Heavy Armor and wait to see how much damage your turret can do before it's destroyed.
of 17: If you're lucky, the turret will survive long enough to kill the Heavy Armor for you. Otherwise, you're already in position to start minigunning the thing as soon as your turret's destroyed.
of 17: After the Heavy Armor is dead, check the floor near the wall you stuck your turret to for some body armor and two spare deployable turrets.
