F.E.A.R. Hints
What's a good strategy for getting past all these Replicas?
of 20: Start by sneaking down to the bottom of the stairs so the Replicas behind the window won't detect you right away.
of 20: Use SlowMo and Zoom to help you shoot as many of them as you can through the window, then quickly run back up to the top of the stairs.
of 20: You'll be immune to their grenades from up there, and you can go back down in SlowMo to finish them off after your meter recharges.
of 20: After they're all dealt with, you can find a frag grenade in an open locker next to their room, then search the room for supplies and an exit in the back.
of 20: You'll soon come to a large glass window that looks outside, where you can see two Replicas if you look carefully.
of 20: You can just sneak past the window and deal with the two Replicas once you get outside, but it's easier to do it from the window if you have the ASP rifle from the storage room at the top of the stairs.
of 20: As you approach the window, look to the raised walkway near the blue doors at the very back of the outdoor area. Your first Replica target will be walking along there.
of 20: Start up SlowMo and snipe him down using Zoom mode as soon as you can.
of 20: Then look down and to the right to find the other Replica moving around. You should be able to snipe him too before SlowMo wears off.
of 20: To the right of the window you just shot through is another window and a door that leads outside to a walkway.
of 20: Use the butt of your ASP rifle to break out the second window, then open the door and head down the walkway's stairs to the ground.
of 20: As soon as you start moving toward the walkway on the other side where you sniped the first Replica, an enemy helicopter will approach to drop off two more troops.
of 20: As soon as you hear the helicopter, run as fast as you can back up the walkway's stairs and in through the door. (Note that you can move faster if you holster the ASP rifle or switch to a lighter weapon.)
of 20: Look out through the window next to the door and get your ASP rifle out.
of 20: Use the rifle's Zoom scope and SlowMo to snipe down the two new arrivals through the window as soon as they descend to the catwalk.
of 20: TIP: Since they descend from the chopper one at a time, it's most efficient to turn SlowMo on as soon as one lands on the walkway, shoot him, and then turn SlowMo off until the second one lands.
of 20: Cross the outdoor area and go up the stairs to the walkway you sniped all those Replicas on, ready for more to burst out the door as you're climbing the stairs.
of 20: As the first one comes out through the door, back off a bit and shoot the explosive yellow barrel that's nearby, then toss a frag grenade toward the open door so it'll bounce inside. (It's a good idea to do this in SlowMo, but it's not essential.)
of 20: After your grenade is tossed, back down the stairs a bit so that the door isn't in view and wait, ready to blast any surviving Replicas as they charge you.
of 20: Now you can finally take a breather from all the combat and scout around for ammo and supplies (including in the room past the unblocked double doors at ground level).
