AT-S Proximity Grenade

    When you toss one of these grenades, it'll settle in a spot on the ground and start scanning for hostiles. You can safely run past it or even right over it without setting it off, but there's no way to disarm it and reclaim it once set. Also, if it's shot by anyone or another grenade goes off near it, it'll explode.

    You can set a prox grenade or two on a narrow path and then lead enemies down that path to blow them up, but note that they can spot this type of grenade, too, and may hang back when they see them. You can use this to limit their ability to chase you, or you can be careful to hide prox grenades in dark areas and just around corners.

    WARNING: There's an odd glitch in the game that sometimes causes prox grenades that you throw to slowly rise into the air instead of settling down and flashing green. You'll want to quicksave right before setting any prox grenades and then quickrestore and try again if they act screwy. (Also, if one starts rising up, you can try running into it to get it to drop and set properly, but this doesn't always work.)
