F.E.A.R. Hints

How should I handle these ATC guys?

  • 1 of 15: For the first group of three, go through the door you're at and turn to the right to see them at the other end of the hall.
  • 2 of 15: Immediately turn SlowMo on and start shooting them.
  • 3 of 15: After you get all three of them, look around in a side area to find a medkit.
  • 4 of 15: Then go down the stairs at the end of the hall to find three more ATC guards in a large office.
  • 5 of 15: Use the usual SlowMo tactics on them, then search their office for some spare grenades and the other nearby office for more supplies.
  • 6 of 15: As you head down the corridor, you'll see some ATC guards behind a grate-style security door firing at some unseen enemy down the hall.
  • 7 of 15: Find the nearby openable door and go through it to get to a room with a gun rack you can resupply from.
  • 8 of 15: Looking out through that room's window, you can see that the ATC guys are fighting a Heavy Armor and its Replica escorts.
  • 9 of 15: Duck back out of sight before they see you so they'll keep fighting each other instead of paying any attention to you.
  • 10 of 15: There's no way the Heavy Armor will be killed, but maybe some of the Replicas and ATC guards will be, making your job easier.
  • 11 of 15: When you're ready to finish off the survivors, go through the door that leads to their area. (It's a good thing they never think to try coming after you through that door!)
  • 12 of 15: Quickly kill off any remaining ATC guards and Replicas, then retreat and plan your attack on the Heavy Armor.
  • 13 of 15: If you kept the rocket launcher and/or particle weapon from previous missions, those are good choices to use on the Heavy Armor.
  • 14 of 15: Otherwise, use a few frag grenades followed by a SlowMo rush with the shotgun (remembering to shoot the faceplate when possible).
  • 15 of 15: Or you can run into the corner that's to the right of the overturned "Diet Squish" vending machine and wait for the Heavy Armor to crouch down near the vending machine. When it does, you'll be able to shoot it in its right shoulder until it's dead without it being able to shoot back. You don't even need to use SlowMo!
